EXTRACTION PANORAMA
FROM THE OFFICIAL CORONATION EMBLEM
In our ideation phase, we derived a pattern from the key design elements of the coronation emblem, namely the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales, and the shamrock of Northern Ireland, which together
form St Edward's Crown - this pattern will be used throughout the event ceremony alongside the coronation emblem.

ARABIC CALLIGRAPHY
The design theme for the Coronation Event integrates the historic Al Muhaqqaq Thuluth script, a revered form of Arabic calligraphy, known for its royal connotations and aesthetic beauty. This script, with roots in the Abbasid Dynasty, adds prestige and cultural depth to the visual concept. By blending elements of the UK coronation emblem—comprising the rose, thistle, daffodil, and shamrock—with Arabic calligraphy, the design creates a bridge between British and Iraqi cultures. The project underwent extensive cultural research and ideation, aiming to respect both traditions and create a universal, royal visual tone. The calligraphy serves to not only adorn but also convey event details and subtly evoke British architecture, fostering cultural exchange. Prototypes were developed to ensure the design achieved a balance ofelegance, cultural sensitivity, and universal appeal.

The final design
featured a cohesive visual language where the coronation emblem’s floral elements formed the foundation, while the Arabic calligraphy added movement and cultural depth. The calligraphic forms were strategically placed to complement the emblem’s shape, appearing as though they flowed naturally from the floral pattern, embodying a royal yet culturally integrated theme. The overall composition created a visual narrative that honored both British and Iraqi heritage
