Raising awareness about the critical climate threats facing Iraq and the potential disappearance of the 5,000-year-old Iraqi marshlands.
Becorp delivered a targeted communications strategy for the Iraq Pavilion at COP28, successfully raising awareness about the critical climate threats facing Iraq and the potential disappearance of the 5,000-year-old Iraqi marshlands. We employed a captivating mix of traditional and modern elements to engage a global audience. Documentary-style videos and animation brought the marshlands' plight to life, while AR posters that sprang into motion with smartphone cameras provided a truly interactive experience. This immersive approach not only informed visitors but also fostered a deeper connection with the environmental challenges presented.

Our commitment to environmental responsibility mirrored the message we conveyed.
All promotional materials were eco-friendly, including canvas tote bags featuring thematic drawings of the marshlands and a powerful "Global Boiling" message instead of the typical "Global Warming." We also designed and distributed limited-edition pins inspired by the doors of the marshlands' tribal tent houses. These collector's items were crafted from sustainable metallic materials and packaged in biodegradable, corn-based plastic substitutes.
